Yazaki Absorption Chillers - Background
Yazaki Gas-Fired Chillers
Yazaki
Hot Water-Fired Chillers
Formed in 1929 in Japan, Yazaki is the leading global supplier of renewable absorption cooling and heating systems for the commercial sector. Over the last 38 years, Yazaki has gained significant experience in developing, designing and manufacturing absorption chillers – ranging from the world’s first mass production of small to medium sized absorption chillers through the world’s first solar powered air conditioning system to today’s innovative water fired chillers.
Facts and Figures
- Leader in non-HFC based central air-conditioning offering capacities from
17.5kW to 700kW
- Mass producer of absorption cooling equipment since 1970
- More than 100,000 absorption chillers installed worldwide with more than
2,000 installations in the EU
- 50 Engineers exclusively dedicated to the R&D of absorption chillers
HFC refrigerants used in conventional electric chillers are a major contributor to global warming. It has been estimated that leaking refrigerants contribute 13% to the world’s global warming problem. All of Yazaki’s Gas and Hot Water-Fired Chillers use an environmentally safe and benign working fluid mixture of Lithium Bromide and Water.
With excellent operating efficiencies Yazaki chillers will result in lower CO2 production than similar sized electrically powered chillers with commensurate running cost savings.
Shorts are the UK distributor for Yazaki gas and hot water-fired chillers.
Shorts also supply a range of ancillary
equipment including a wide selection of UK manufactured adiabatic air blast
coolers tailored to suit the characteristics of the complete Yazaki range.
