Shorts Industries Limited has been supplying engineering products for buildings since 1945 developing an enviable reputation in the UK lift industry. We are an ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified company.
Shorts is in turn part of Read Holdings, an international privately owned UK Company that has been in the hands of the same family for over 150 years.
For over ten years, Shorts has been one of the leading suppliers of air conditioning systems to the UK HVAC industry. From our regional centres in London and Yorkshire we have supplied a complete range of systems from some of the world's largest air conditioning manufacturers, including LG and Mitsubishi. During this time, we have earned a reputation for distributing top quality products with unrivalled service backup.
As a direct result of our total commitment to the environment, in 2007 we took the strategic decision to concentrate all of our activities in the area of energy saving / low carbon building services equipment and entered into a partnership with Italian manufacturer Robur Spa. This has enabled Shorts to make Robur's unique high efficiency / low carbon gas-fired heat pump range available in the UK.
