There are many different types of air conditioning units to choose from. Typically, the system will comprise of an outdoor unit connected to one or more indoor units. These indoor units come in various types such as ducted or floor mounted but the two most common are either high level wall mounted or the ‘cassette’ units that sit flush in a suspended ceiling.
To operate efficiently, a system needs to be properly installed and the cooling and heating capacity has to be sized and calculated correctly. Oversized or undersized units cost more to operate and can do a poor job of comfort control.
